redoing my doors soon..

right now i have:

-3 6.5s in each door,

-1 5" dayton in each pillar

-6.5s in the kicks

super tweeters in the doors

2 6.5s in each window

i know i know it seems like alot of mess but itts okay to me

now the new setup will have the following

1 10" in each door

3-4 5's in each door

6.5s in the kick

5s in the pillars

3 5s in the rear windows

I really like the dayton full range speakers for 3 reasons

1 they get very oud off only 35-50wrms

2 they're cheap about $15 ea

3 the sound that comes from them are amazing for only $15 and they are full range handling up to 15k hertz..

Now what does 10" speakers sound like? i really want to use them because of the "wow" factor but i may use 2 8s in its place..

Well if you were to go 10's i would personally go with either the B&C 10 or the eminence delta 10. If it were me i'd go with the B&C's. I have not heard anything louder or sound as good as the B&C's proaudio wise. Those things scream, but they are not that cheap either but they are well worth the prise.

The B&C 10 is about as clean and loud as you will get. If you have the cash, they are totally worth the money. Put 1 or 2 in each door, and bridge a big 2 channel on them. Throw them around 350-400rms and they will SCREAM. Just 2 10s on 700rms will most likely be louder than everything you have for highs now. If you can afford 4 10s, go for it, if not 2 will still be plenty.

Toss a couple 6s in there too. These Seleniums are awesome for the price. Id go with 8 of these, do some in the doors and some in the kicks.

Then you need tweeters. Do 4 of the Selenium ST350s. I have them in my car and I love them. You would only need 4 of them if you put some real power on them. I bridged a Crunch P1800.4 on 4 of them, so probably close to 700rms on all 4 of them and they were so loud. Took the power all day long, no sweat.

With all of this, I would run 2 10s, 8 6s, and 4 tweets. Would be sick with each door having 1 10, 3 6s, and 2 tweets, then a 6 in each kick pannel. Its definately a good chunk of change, but worth it if you want some crazy loud highs. If you wanted to save some cash, go with the Eminence Delta 10s instead of the B&Cs. They arent as loud, and not quite as clean, but are still way louder than the low end Selenium 10s and other 10s like Betas or Alphas.
