I want to put a ported box in the trunk of my grand am with the back seat removed and the sub and ports facing the interior of the car. I was wondering how this would sound as opposed to the box facing the trunk. I was also wondering if it is getter to have pvs ports or MDF built into the box.

Well, first read this article:

http://www.installer.com/tech/aiming.html

Secondly, you can experiment with this yourself...

Build a test box.. or even borrow a tiny sub.. or even use a home audio speaker as a sub for testing purposes..

Put it in your trunk, and manipulate it's location.

The best way is to build around where it will sound the best, and sound the loudest.

And if it is louder in one location than another using a cheap/small/temporary subwoofer in one location in your trunk, the same will hold true when you get your "real" subwoofer in there! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
