Re Sx12

allright i'm tired of messin around,i know some of you guys can give me good feedback on this sub.i really need help before i buy one.here is the deal,i want to keep my amp and am wondering if my amp will keep up with that RE SX12 AND STILL SOUND GOOD in my enclosure that i have.keep in mind that my cvx gets loud in this enclosure,but it does sound a little muddy on some lows hence y im trying to get some good info on this sub.so, i want to upgrade but would really like some advice.its all appreciated. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you got a prefab box? it's probably tuned high, hence the reason your cvx doesn't sound good on low notes...

i don't think there will be a big enough difference between the cvx and the sx in that box of yours... best bet would be a new enclosure imo...

Yeah build a new box first tuned 30-34.

no its not tuned to high.it was tuned to around 32hz with out sub in it when i got it. the back port was extremly long. i went on a calculating sight before i modified it,and its still pretty low.i also got rid of the lips on the vent.box sounds great,im shooting for perfection with my set up with a better sub,thats all.
