RE HC Reconage

Well now I'm finally home and reunited with my RE HC motor. I'm lookin into getting it reconed, but have two options:

1) Recone it to an 18" and feed it ~1500w because it'll be hooked up at 1.4 ohms on my X1.2000.1D

2) I've seen a few people trying to sell theirs, but it's hard to get em to budge. If I can, I'll get another HC motor, and recone both to 15's, and then give them ~1000 apiece from my X1.2000.1D @ .7 ohms.

BTW, talked to Scott a few months ago... he said a dual .7 Q coil would fit the bill.

ok smartass. fyi, a dual 1.4 coil won't fit in the gap. only a dual .7 will. that's why i'm using the DCR. yes, i know it changes with rise. i'm just giving nominal figures here.

No, nominal figures would be dual 1 coil or dual 2 coil... DCR =\= Nominal.

And I'm not being a smartass; I'm trying to get rid of this bullshit that leads people to believe that their amps really are running at 1.4 or .7 or .35 or whatever ohms.

I've bene tired of this for QUITE sometime, and had to explain it on numerous occasions.

last time i talked to scott he still had original HC recones. last time i talked to david he also had recones for them. so get the orignal d2 recone, make it an 18, and give it the amps potential. talk about low end with authority.
