have the older models of both. the xxx 6.5s didn't come with tweets or passive crossovers when i got them last year. got both models used from previous owners who found that they're mounting depth was too much for their doors

I believe they have a Neo motor now. Thet would explain the size.

Sorry, your right. I was confused, the mids have the same split coil design as the XXX subs.
