RD Alpha vs. IA DP

I can get either for a good price. I know the Alpha is more of an sql sub, but I've heard they can get loud.

Just ordered a pair of DP's for myself:evil:

Anyways, they should definately beat out the alphas in terms of spl. I mean hell, the suspension is the limiting factor on these at 40mm one way.

Anyways, the alpha has too low of an EBP with the FS it has for my liking, and the qts is just too **** high as well (looking at the 15's).

Alpha is kinda SQL based, but it does get loud.

No real experience with the DP's so I cannot say much. I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed my Alpha when I had it.

That's my feeling. I think the DP is more suited for matching up to the RD HW than an Alpha.

Three 15" Alphas did do a 162.9 in pro stock 1801-3000 Usaci. It was on four 2000 watt db drive amps.
Also 3 othem did a 160.4 off one rd7250 in stock 3000+

both setups below the window behind the seat.

Warden sounds more like it will be beyond SHW territory. More like DD Z territory.

Which is something I want to see. The DD Z is just a marvel of a woofer. The SHW can do shit it shouldnt be able to, and is beyond impressive as well. It's always intriguing to see some higher-class woofers like that.

I think it was said in the Warden thread.....But it will be nice to see a sub that can compete with the Z that doesn't cost you all four limbs.

Yup indeed it will. Wonder what the cost on the Warden will be? I'll find my way to a SHW and ship it to someone once the Warden comes out - if someone would like to test the three subs against one another...somehow...
