rca's from walmart..

I'm getting a wierd sound now that i've hooked my epicenter up like the subs don't move together when i turn the remote knob up.. However i've messed with all the controls on the epicenter and nothing fixes it.. I think my prob is the walmart rca's from epicenter to amp.. I didn't get these from the car section.. came from electronics.. Are rca's different for home and mobile??

no -- unless they aren't shielded.

they are shielded but the home audio ones are smaller wire in size..

their 3" and i figured by going to 4" would only reduce port noise which i don't have a prob with.. So i'm gonna save the headache.. Only reason I was going to do it was for more spl.. But ever since i've hooked this epicenter up i can't even turn the bass knob up without it destorting..

ah!!! I've read the epicenter manual and everything! I can turn the epicenter down and it sounds fine.. I've also taken the cover off and tried the 2v 7.5v and 10v.. I DON"T GET IT

Yes when i set it to the lowest one, which is 2v i think, it sounds a little bit better.. But not enough to matter..

Audiocontrol is famous for high output, did you reset your amp gain after you installed the Epicenter?

It sounds like your gain is now too high going into your amp.

The gain on the amp? yea turned it down.. helped a little but it still sounds like the speakers arent moving together.. somethins wierd..
