RCA Voltage?

I have 2 pockers below my Radio.. The one directly under it is the same width as the Radio.. I think it will fit it near perfect.. if not.. I have a glove box and center console to use..

most american bass amps have an RCA input voltage range of 0.2V - 6V.

that range should be fine for any head unit.

OK.. I just noticed when I switched from the old head unit to my new one. It was a difference. But I'm running a Rockford Prime 500.1 Prime amp right now on one 10in.

I'll get my new system in and if I need the EQ/Line Booster.. I'll just order one up.

you should have a toggle switch to turn off the remote turn-on signal to the amps when not in normal use - such as updating. i assume you wired the turn-on to the head unit remote output? use the switch when fiddling with the head unit because those spikes will damage speakers/subs.

Yes my remote is wired into the HU, but I don't have a Switch? I can go into the HU EQ Settings and turn down the SW Setting to Zero, but I'm not sure that is shutting it off or just fading it.

Do you mean install one? That would be easy enough. Either way install a switch or pull the Fuse.. Simple enough to do...

Wait an effing second here...WAY back to the original post...

...my Subs surround blew..

Uhh -- defective sub maybe?

I've only had a surround fail because it was 10 yrs old and on a $40 sub in a hatch back -- it simply wore out.

The surround is one of the lower stress parts of a speaker and it's purely mechanical. What do you mean by "blew"?

If you have a damaged surround and no voice coil issues I don't know why we're going straight to electrical issues, o-scope, line driver etc.

I'm thinking MFG defect.
