Hello, I need a little help, (well... alot of help) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif but we can start here.

I have a Pioneer DEH 6700

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/CarAudioVideo/In-Dash/Other-In-Dash/DEH-P6700MP?tab=D

And a MPQuart DCS 480 4 channel amp

http://www.mbquartusa.com/discus_amps_.html

I want to bridge the amp and use just 2 channels to power my ppi 356cs

On the back of the head unit it has RCA for the fronts and sub so I use the fronts for the front speakers thats clear.... but on the back of the amp it has RCA's for all four channels, where do I plug the RCA's into the amp if I'm going to bridge it and just use 2 channels ? Thanks for any help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You just need a Y cable, one female to two male plugs.

JL Audio XB-CLRAICY-1F2M

$4.99

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17482_JL+Audio+XB-CLRAICY-1F2M.html

Thats just one example, that store and most other cable stores have them.

That's to simple....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So if i bridge channels 1 & 2 on the amp for the right speaker.... I keep the RCA cables in the same order and use one plug on the HU for channel 1 & 2 on the amp ?

Thanks

You would run the normal front pair off the HU, then plug those cables into the Y cables

at the amp.

One thing though, most modern 4 ch amps have a bridge switch, and the amp accepts a 2 ch RCA cable into one pair of inputs.

If thats true with your amp (look in the manual) you probably wont need anything but a normal stereo RCA cable to run it bridged.

The amp has on the back

Input Mode 2/4 channel

so I set it at 2 channel and then which RCA plugs do I use on the amp ?

crap.....the manual dosn't have a diagram with the channels bridged and useing 2 speakers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif I'm trying

I cant find a manual online for your amp.

Even ^%$#@& MB Quart doesnt list it in their less than helpful "support" manual section.

I saw a photo of the end of the amp with the "2ch/4ch" switch, but it doesnt look like the amp has the inputs labeled for 2 channel use.

If no one else can offer you help here Quart has a support phone line.

That is the worst manual I've ever seen, its no wonder you were having trouble.

Look under the "DSC 450, DSC 480, DSC 4125" section on page 2 where it says "*Input Mode", and it says to use channels 1/2 as the inputs when you bridge the amp down to 2 channels.
