Rattles Every Where

i have a 1988 dodge omni with 2 pyle 12s in the hatch.i have installed new door speakers but have not got a hu yet (workin on it). my question is about rattles.my doors rattle so bad it sounds like **** with evry thing on the doors rattling.its a factory stero and rattling so bad just imagine the new sony hu im geting next month is going to do!how do i get it to stop?plz help.

sound deadening... make sure your speakers are attached firmly to the door too.

oh and buy a cheap pioneer head unit rather than that sony.

Check your pop rivets. Ive never once been able to take off a door panel to replace speakers without breaking some of those ****ing things.

You definitely should deaden your doors, but check those rivets too.

The rattling is your car telling you to get new speakers and subs......

First step is sound deadening. If you don't want to or can't afford some, then use some bubble wrap and secure it to anything that moves from the inside of your door panels. Next, make sure that there are no screws loose, rivets, dead bugs, etc... in your door panels. As for the trunk, get a comforter or blanket and just stick it snug between top of your box and trunk, but making sure when you close it it fits snug. That's a ghetto short-term fix for you.

i turned on an 70Hz high pass and the few rattles i had were gone.... then again my comps can't play low at all
