Old school PPI, some of the best build quality you'll ever find in an eq....Arguably the best parametric EQ ever built.... Definitly the cleanest sounding and best quality eq i've ever used. I have a par-245 in my car and it's the bomb diggity.

Manual:

http://www.precisionpower.com/Manuals/Accessory%20Manuals/Precision_Power_PAR245%20Equalizer.pdf

Near mint....there's a tiny scuff on two of the very very corners (front right and back right)...otherwise it's flawless, warranty seal intact. This one is in even nicer conditon than the one in my car right now. I was originally going to install this one in my car and sell the other more scuffed one, but im lazy and have too much on my plate with other stereo needs, so the old one is staying and the fancy minty one is up for sale.

This is a really dumb question, BUT Ill ask anyway... I have never used an EQ, but like some of the features they offer. How would I connect this to an aftermarket deck to a 2 channel and a mono block? Of course my deck has 3 sets of pre-outs, but I assume you only use one set...

yes you would only use 1 set. read the manual and you'll see the way to adjust the gains on the eq to match the HU. you can use the hu sub output for subs down the road.

btw what kenwood deck are you using?

Ok, I will look over the manual tomorrow. Forgot you had posted it. And its the x794, but I think I am going to get a diff deck...

the x794 isnt bad. i LOVED my x993 paired with this eq..you'd be suprised the difference a nice preamp eq will do, the eq on x993 by itself wasnt cutting it.

I just want something diff. Lol. Its a pretty good deck, dont have many, if any complaints. I think I may pick a Pioneer 7000bt. If I can grab one for really cheap, I will be content for now. I had a 5000ub and loved it, but then I used my warranty to get the 5100ub (which I later ruined). Any new Pioneer deck is crap. Only other deck I was thinking about was the Alpine CDA 117.

I like the clipping indicator on the EQ, as well as the high volt out.

i used the cda-117. wasnt impressed. the searching was slow. everytime you turned the deck on it took like 5 minutes to "bank" (recognize the flash drive plugged in). the SQ was decent, but in a direct swap with the x993 the kenwood takes the cake by far. the kenwood sounded just as nice but was waaaay faster at searching through your mp3's. those newer alpines arent as nice as i expected..

if this doesnt sell soon it's going into storage. i'll use it on my next car (whenever that may be) and sell the old one.

get it now before i stash it away forever!
