Well, I thought I'd never see the day when I'd part with these. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Unfortunately, they aren't going to be used anytime soon and aren't doing me any good sitting on the shelf. The Illusion horns are nigh unto impossible to find anymore. They are car audio's only "straight through" horn lens design, eliminating the bend in the throat found on most lenses. I have used the ID fullsize, minis, and Veritas, and prefer the Illusions over all of them. Anyone who heard these in my truck can attest to their sound. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
Illusion originally shipped them with a cheap rebranded Radian compression driver. I have upgraded them to the B&C DE500, arguably the best 1" compression driver out there with the exception of uber high end TAD and JBL stuff that aren't realistic for shoehorning into a car (unless you're Patrick Bateman). I've crossed them as low at 800hz with a 4th order slope, and they've never been overpowered (I think one's ears would bleed before they fed these things too much power!) They work phenomenally in a two-way with a high efficiency mid such as the JBL 2118H or B&C 8NDL51, and even better in a 3-way with a JBL 2204H and Audax PR170M0 (still for sale). Just sayin'... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
They are in overall good cosmetic shape, with some small scratches and nicks here and there- nothing that couldn't be touched up with a fresh coat of paint, and I am being picky. I bought the compression drivers new from an authorized dealer about 3 years ago and they have been in my possession the whole time. I bought the horns from a local member about two years ago. Everything is 100% functional and measures as it should. I do not have the original Radian drivers anymore, so these will ship with the CH-1 lenses and the DE500 compression drivers.
Asking price for the pair is $375 in the lower 48. This covers FedEx Ground shipping, $400 of insurance, double-boxing, Direct Signature, and PP fees. I am willing to ship internationally for additional shipping costs. Please PM me for a quote if you live outside the US.
Dimensions are 17" x 2" and they are about 9.5" at their deepest point. They sit at a bit of an angle, which I found really helps with mounting options because the compression driver will tuck back in the corner instead of requiring the full 9.5" of depth.
