I have an ALpine 9815 HU, and I'm almost 100% I"m getting:

Rainbow SLC 265 Kick.... but possibly CDT ES 61-FG or CDT ES-610

Which amp do you guys recommend for the Rainbow SLC and which for the CDT?

I'm looking at an Alpine PDX 4.150 or Alpine PDX 4.100 or refurb Sundown 100.4.

Also for the SLC Kick version, what does this mean and require me to do?

"**System has to be used with an 80 Hz (12 dB/Oct.) high pass!"

On the 9815, I believe there are crossovers (hold the menu button). If you run active you need to set the crossover for w/e channel you're using to 80- hz High pass 12db/oct. If you're buying a comp set, then just use the crossover and you dont need to worry about the 80 Hz HP, the crossover will do it for you.

Search around the classifieds, find an amp in your budget, research/read reviews on the amp/company, and then go from there. Head room is always a good thing to have too.

Make sure you install whatever speakers you purchase properly too.

Thanks a lot for the info. So basically my 9815 should have the settings to set the 80hz high pass thing, and if I purchase the Rainbow SLC 265 from here:

http://www.iqcaraudio.com/rainbow/sound_line_slc/index.htm

It should have the crossover and I don't need to worry about the 80 Hz HP right?

Also I've been looking at the Alpine PDX 4.100 and 4.150 cuz of the good reviews but I wasn't sure of which wattage, I guess headroom is good so I'll go with 150. I wasn't sure if thats too much for the SLC's cuz they say 150 Watt Max for the Kick and 120 Watt Max for the regular version.

Wouldn't running them at max watt 4.150 be too much for the SLC's?

Wrong, the crossover on the SLC 265 Kicks will not filter out the sub 80Hz content from the Mids, it is the same crossover as the regular SLC 265 set. I just use the crossover on my headunit and I've never had a problem.
