Rainbow CMX Kicks Discontinued, What other set should I get?

I was going to get a set of Rainbow CMX kicks, but there discontinued so it may not be possible to get them. Should I Settle for the Germaniums instead, or maybe look into getting a set higher up then the CMX kicks?

They have been replaced by the Soundline SAC265.25...."A" for aluminum cone/dome designation, same cal25titan tweeter just the new driver motor for mid and new xovers, non avail in KICK version...but maybe thats for a reason? The NG has no kick version either, same mid/motor. I say it makes for a direct replacement, without being forced to a 80 hz 12db if your baffle can allow for lower point.

What would be the reason? Was something wrong or flawed with the design? I was under the impression that the CMX was a popular set.
