Raiders dump Moss to New England for fourth-round pick

moss was doing shit in oakland. his production was mediocre and can be done by another mediocre receiver. also if you think russell is coming in right now and is going to be great, you are just ignorant. oakland can address wide receiver next draft. moss isn't the be all of wide receivers. moss is getting old now and it's foolish to think you'll get the same production he had in minnesota with a rookie QB.

Also Moss's numbers havent been shit in years, even at his end of the rope with Minnesota. He has an attitude, dont want to play no where, but with that said, he would still out perform any of their current recievers in Porter, Curry, Whitted.

So yeah he wont be great, not until they draft or pick up a decent reciever, but I think letting go of Moss was a mistake this year. At least get something for him. I mean a 4th rounder, lol!

that's the whole reason they got mike williams from detriot. Kippen (whoeever the new coach is) was from USC and so was williams, so he's hoping that the jump back to the same system he used to do will get him going again.

This is obviously a transition year, but Oakland is at least getting the right pieces together. They have a good defence, all they need is a good O-Line, some recievers a TE, a good runningback (yeah LaMont Jordan blows) and a QB (Jamarcus Russel wont do good this year, he's a rookie with no safety target, i.e. super good wr/te)

they wont do as bad as last time but they'll be bad.

I'm a Raiders fan and I could care less. Every team has their rebuilding years, and I think the people who made the trade know a little more about football than all of you guys (myself included) so what makes you think it was a bad trade? Moss was uproductive in the last 2 years, so why would he all of a sudden become a superstar? On a team he dislikes no less. The guy doesn't even try on the field, and this demonstrates some key qualities of why he's not a, "football player." There is more to being a "football player" than making big plays and putting up numbers. A player who jogs during a play is no football player IMO, dispite who he was or who he could be.

look at moss's stats 42 553 13.2 3 not hard to replace that. also moss's cap number was huge.

With that said, Porter is no football player as well. He was so butt hurt about some misunderstanding with Art Shell that he sat on the sideline for a large period of time being a cry baby. Football players don't ever give up a change to start because they're little cry baby B_itches. Porter is no better than Moss IMO.

Now the problem for the Raiders to decide is whether they should put Russell in right away, or put him as a 2nd string player so that Russell can develop his NFL skill level. Perhaps wait until we acquire better receivers and develop a better offensive line.

i could care less about N.E getting moss, but to say he is not fast you need to get a clue . dude clocks in the low 4.3's so speed is most the problem it's his willingness to play

he may have hit that in the combine some 9 years ago, but he's 30 years old, and has no doubt lost a step.
