Radio to play in car

My car radio just died, so I plugged in my cell phone into the car radio and used the FM radio in my cell phone, it worked great . I don't want to keep my cell in the car .So what do I look for in a small portable radio that will plug into my car radio, I'm worried about interference. Should I be worrying about the FM part of broadcasting , or do I have to worry about clear reception in both AM and FM. Thanks folks.

As long as the radio has a 3.5 headphone jack it should work

No problem with static in both Am and FM???
What ever plays out of the portable should sound the same in the deck...I use to listen to my police scanner in the aux in with no issues...Ive done the same with CB and ham radios also...Ive never had a bad tuner and tried an AM FM but Id think it would work as long as it got good reception
