Radio reception question

I have a Panasonic touchscreen tv, and my fm channels aren't strong at all. I bought the truck with a Panasonic radio, and immediately put in my TV so I never paid attention to the reception with the original radio. I checked the antenna and it's hooked up right. Is there anything I can do to strengthen the reception. Could there be another problem? Thanks

whats the antenna look like on the outside of the vehicle? only thing i can think of is there's a problem with the external antenna. possibilty that the wire connected to the antenna came off? normally not an easy thing to check, but its worth a shot.
