Pardon my odd viewpoint on this situation, but besides the faults on your end (not registered, and no inspection, which you may be able to get out of) isnt it everyones dream to buy a $100 vehicle only to have it totaled out by a dumbass, and get an insurance check for more than you had in it? Totally disreguarding time/effort put in to it, of course.

I'm a bit lucky in that regard - the only time and effort I had into it at this point was replacing the valve cover gaskets and the headlight bulbs. Grand total of about $45 in parts there.

While I will likely get paid more than what I had invested in it the odds of being able to completely replace the vehicle altogether for that amount of money are pretty slim.

I'd wager that Blue Book on a 1990 Bronco II isn't much...

This is true.

My mother lives in Monroe, and about 3 years ago, she bought a 99 Geo for 600bucks. The neighbor backed into it in the drive way, and she got $1200 for the damage. Then a few months later, was rearened, and got another $700, before she totaled it. She loved the car for this. lol

Well, I reckon it certainly could have been much worse.

I could have been injured. The moron that hit me could have had kids in his car and one of them could have gotten hurt as a result of his stupidity.

The BudgetMobile could have been my only transportation rather than something I picked up on the cheap simply because I could.

So - all in all it's really nothing more than aggravating and having to go to court for the BS citations will be more wasted time...but it could have been worse.

First off, I would like to suggest to a mod to BAN anyone who asks for cliffs. If you didnt take the time to read the thread it is apperant you don't care, then proceed to adding insult to injury on prowlers' end by dissrepecting his posts as if you dont care enough to read it.

On a lighter note,

Prowler I am very saddend to hear this happend to you. I hope you dont have any lingering injuries or anything of that sort after. I've rummaged up the NADA value of your vehicle which is at anywhere from 1500-2300 in fair condition depending on 2wd or 4wd. Maybe that'll help in your help with you emotional damage on that one... Will you be sending back Pl8er's HU? I think that's the only gentlemenly thing to do, unless you get his approval to sell it. If you do sell I might be interested. . .
