"Steering wheel control interface" Help

My dad has always been wanting to upgrade his system but he does not want to take out the hu b.c then he will lose his controls to the steering wheel ( its an 01 Durango). I found this product from crutchfield but was just wondering if there are other products out there which are cheaper, and more user friendly ( they don't get great reviews on crutchfield although he is very good with wiring and whatnot).

they are fairly simple(imo) to install. they even tell you where to hook into. what brand deck is he looking at?

I've installed a ton of those and have used them in my own cars. Great little piece, does what it is supposed to and is easy to install and program. I wouldn't look for anything else, if you find a cheaper piece you will get what you pay for. I have no complaints with the peripheral pieces.

use a pac swix interface. those are great and have a good site to learn how to do it on. it comes with the packaging.
