Quitting cigarettes

I quit smoking cigs, then picked up dip. I quit dipping and picked up cigs. Now i dont do anything but smoke weed, well i havent latley... because im about to get a drugtest, but as soon as i leave the building where they test me, im torching a fatty.

almost that time of day for a smoke break at work...lol.

good luck if you can do it. I need to quit too but I've been saying that for the past 3 years //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I quit smoking after having smoked for 14 years. I tried and failed

a few times, the only way that worked was cold turkey. The other

times, I tried reducing to 0 and also the gum, and the patch.

Anything but cold turkey has a built-in excuse for failure.

Here's what I did:

1)recluse in my room for 2 weeks. I turned ******* for a while

(some may argue to this day).

2)no drinking for 1 month. But start hanging with friends again,

even ones that smoke.

3)gradually bring the drinking back online, not to bad drunk, just

4-5 drinks to get used to being drunk and not smoking.

over the next month or so.

4)Watch out, be careful for first 6 months, but after that you'll

be strong.

My dad's brother passed away because of a sudden heart attack a few years back and they believed it was caused by smoking and his brother quit about 2 weeks ago beacuse he was at work and couldnt make it up the steps because he was having trouble breathing. They are both older than him and he lost the one at 54 and his other is 57 now and my dad is 55 and they all started at 13-14 and he coughs very bad and it just worrys me that I might not have him around a whole lot longer if he doesnt quit, suxxxx //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

X the years the man smoked. Fuc.k cigs. the ****in people that work in the company that make them don't even smoke what they produce. back in the 60s and 70s when cigs became highly popular corner stores used to let kids steal cigs so they got addicted and made alot of money of 13 and 14 year olds.

Just turned 23 last week and that marks 9 years for me now. Only tried to quit once, and that was in November. After **** near 9 years of smoking and never going a day without one I stopped cold turkey for about 4 weeks because I was broke. Got a job and started up again. I wasn't and I'm still not ready to quit. Its too good when you go out/drink 5 nights a week.
