quick question with digital multimeter

so i just bought one, never used it before. three ports Ohm, com and V. where does the black and red wire go into?

come on i know someone can easily answer this

V is for voltage, Ohm is resistance. Com is your common ground. Black go to COM and red goes to either V or Ohm depending on what you want to do.

yeah so if you are checking the ohms on your coils put the red in the ohms port. if checking voltage put it in the other one
