Quick Ebay payment question. WithOUT paypal acct

well i ordered some golf clubs ( BIN price ) and have not got my paypal acct up yet, ( still waiting fo rthe bank acct confirmation ) But when i look at my email i just got from them it says the usual confirmation stuff...

"We hope you enjoy your latest purchase. The next step is pay the seller. Don't wait. Pay now to get your item within 3-8 days.

Pay with PayPal, the safe and easy way to pay for your eBay purchases."

Well when i click on the "pay for it" button in that email , i get something that says this

"Thanks for your recent payment. You can view your order details to see payment information and shipping status for your items."

But i never put anyCredit card # to ebay...

The only thing that i gave an acct # to was paypal and that was a checking acct, and i still have not received my bank confirmation yet, so im a lil confused... So whats going on?

Are you using a third-party invoice website set up by the seller/store or the eBay checkout?

Not sure...I buy and sell on eBay but I have a PayPal account that also holds a backup credit card #.

Well, you can also do what I do and add a credit card to the account...then when you buy you can select whether you want it coming straight out of your bank account or simply use the credit card. A lot of eBayers, especially buyers, use a credit card...as a seller I always lose a few bucks of the selling price when they do that...drives me nuts so that is what I do when I buy.

All ebay accounts have to have a currect credit card on file to be able to buy or sell.

Wonder if Ebay somehow tied your creditcard into your paypal maybe?

x2 .. And its been so long since i started my ebay ACCT i dont even know if they required it to get started, andi know for a fact that i dont have that card anymore cuz i shredded them all yrs ago

So if this is a confirmed payment ( somehow ) whatever i guess.. Ebay owns paypal so im sure thats where the funds came from..

But it is very confusing, so im glad i got the one step paypal plan up and running for next time lol...

is there anyone i can call to confirm? who would be the one to know ? Ebay or the seller? Im sure paypal is not much help because theres nothing listed in my acct , nor do i have anything from either in my email

i got the same shit the other day, when i bought some terminals and reducers, i told them **** you, you pay me. but i think its just some 3rd party shit, because i sent the payment when i bought the items and got the email like a week after

Well if you made a payment, it would show up in Paypal. So if its not there, then its an error.
