I have the JL 500/1 with the 12W6V2 in a 1.5 cubic foot sealed enclore temporarily till my JL Pro Wedge comes in next week. A Zapco 1000.4 to 2 Focal 165W's up front with 2 Focal 165CA coaxials in the rears. Also a Eclipse 8053 head unit in an Explorer. With this lay out, the 500/1 and the 12w6v2 run perfect together. You'll have to play for a couple of weeks with the crossovers, PEQ's, etc., but the jl setup gives tight accurate bass and can get very low if need be. You really have to get educated as I had to to learn how everything blends. You'd be shocked to hear the big differences in SQ just by tweaking a few things around. I highly reccommend this setup since I have heard it in my Explorer for three weeks now. The JL12W6V2 was in Car Audio magazine and the guy that reviews all the equipment said it was the best linear sub he's ever heard, period. That says a lot. PS- I'm waiting for this stupid subox from JL to come. They had a fire there or something and it got delayed. When everything is set next week, I'll post lots of pics with my setup. Good Luck with setup.
