Question on Impedance...

a friend of mine's got a memphis mcd1500d. it's rated at 1500w x 1 @ 2 ohms. he's gonna power a single sub. i told him he needs a d4 sub, he said a d2 is fine. he said you can wire the d2 sub in series for a 4 ohm load, then the memphis amp is "already bridged internally" yielding a 2 ohm load. i don't even know what he's talking about. please tell me he's full of sh*t???

or... is he right?

he can get a SVC 2ohm sub but dual 2 sub wont work

you need a dual 4 ohm and yeah he's full of $hit.
