I contacted the folks at RAAMmat to ask them how much deadener I would need for my car. I was just looking to do my front doors to boost my midbass as they are the only locations in the vehicle where mids will be installed. Rick from RAAMmat suggested to not only do my front doors, he also suggested doing my rear doors, the inside of the trunk lid, behind the kick panels, and even the floor. I really don't want to completely gut my car's interior, or spend hundreds of dollars on deadener if I can avoid it. I really just wanted to use the RAAMmat and Esonite to seal and deaden the front doors. Is that not enough? I realize they probably want to sell as much of this stuff as they can, and the more deadener in the car the quieter it will be, but how much of the vehicle do you guys cover with deadener when you use it. In case it matters, there won't be any speakers installed in my rear doors or on the rear deck, and I will have one 12" sub in a seal enclosure in the trunk.
