I have a Hifonics Z8000 (5 channel), but the amp does not have a fuse on it. Hifonics recommends a 50 amp external fuse. This is my first amp with an external fuse as all my previous amps have had fuses on them. (1): Is the external fuse the same thing as the fuse on the power wire at the battery or should there be a seperate external fuse near the amp? (2): This question applies if the answer to the first question is that the fuse at the battery is also the external fuse for the amp. I have an amp kit that came with a 60 amp fuse. Should I swap this out for a 50 amp fuse or is the 60 amp OK?
