Quesitions on Excursion....

The next couple of days I'll be building my box behind my seats. The measurments are Lenght=54", Height=14", top of box=5-6", bottom of box=12". Im going to put 2 12" RE Se's sealed in seperate Chambers. Question, How do I build the box for at full excursion the Sub wont hit the seat?

Countersink the subs so when the subs reach peak

excursion they will not break the plain of the front

of the box.

It will enable you to put your seat back without worries

of damaging your subs.

its just like a bandpass box with out the plexiglass. it won't sound like a bandpass though

So just build th box 1" short on the front.... and then make the cutout a tab bit bigger and mount the subs the the bottom peice of mdf? Also, how many inches is 16 mm

TTT Think tens would be a little easyer to work with... and also was my above statements correct?

10mm=1cm 2.54cm=1inch That should be right so .63 inches.

Make a baffle out of 1" MDF like in my attachment

Mount it to the dark gray wood. You can even put a 15" grille on top of the baffle for extra protection...
