I got this amp and two db drive K5F 10D4's for $100. I mean I know it was a good deal but I can max the amp out on those two db drives with no distortion, what I'm saying is they can still take more power but they are supposed to be 500w rms. The amp should over power them if anything. Any input?

What amp? Quantum is not know for doing rated power. If it says 1500 it's more like 1x500So saying that. No you didn't get a good deal, you got hosed
QRM1500 | Quantum Audio

• 1 x 750 Watts @ 2 Ohm

• 1 x 1500 Watts @ 1 Ohm

^ Those are the power ratings

but like you said I doubt its actually pushing that

it is however, $200 new.

K5F 10D4 | DB Drive

RMS - 500w

I got two of these and they have dual

voice coils so i managed to get them

down to 1 ohm to try and get as much

power as I could.

I mean it's a monoblock amp. And those subs can take more than that I actually like the db's they have great sound quality. I have a JL audio slash 5/500 I had it hooked too but it's been acting weird it only works when it wants to really wish I could get it working right. It's defiantly pushing 800w at least. It's pushing 2 12's and 2 10s rn and I mean I bump but Its still not what I was hoping for.
