Not really a great gaming PC for anything after 2010 quads aren't that efficient yet and the Q9550 is quite dated. Also that is slower RAM so more of it would perform worse than less DDR3 sticks and is more expensive, still DDR2 RAM is EXPENSIVE so good buy on that.

But all in all well priced components and should be good for an average gamer or HTCP. Not at all talking this stuff down QUALITY components GLWS m8.

yes i've been on TPU since '07. and by the way, this cpu and a gtx 470 runs bf3 with most settings at ultra, 1920x1080. its a very capable setup.

Yes, Rangerone766 is being honest.. The system would be very capable with just 1 Bad@ss video card.. Nowadays you really do not need to be up to date on the CPU or memory to a certain extent.. As long as you have a quad core, and 4gb of ddr2 you will have no problems maxing out most games playing at 1920x1080, this is of course true if you have at least 1 Bad@ss video card. All you would need is an ati 5870 or above or something like an nvidia gtx 470 or above and you are set..

I still run a q6600 (overclocked) one of the first quads to come out on the market, with an ati 5870 and can max out almost any game at 1920x1080 as well.

another bump, and surly someone has a decent sub to trade or make an offer. q9550's are still pretty sweet a$$ cpu's, especially once over 4.0ghz. and this one will do 4.1 easily, 4.4 with the right ram.

cpu sold on ebay. probably going to keep the rest as a htpc. got way more off ebay than expected on the cpu. mods can close this thread.
