Q about window tint

is it illegal to have the very back side windows in a SUV blacked out to where you cant even see in, not like 5% but complety non see though

Why not just get 5%, you can't see through that anyway from the outside and that way you wouldnt leave yourself with a giant blindspot.

Yes im pretty sure that is illegal. Probably the lowest you can go is around 20-30 but go to http://www.tintdude.com and look up your states laws.

I have a single cab truck, The legal limit is 40, now im running 15% on my side glass and two layers of 5% on my back glass.

It's not illegal, there are a lot of panel/date-**** vans running around like that. Every tint law I have seen focuses on the driver and passenger front windows, the windshield, and sometimes the rear glass.

As far as I am aware, in my state anything darker than 20% on the rear window is illegal.

Police and other emergency personel want to be able to see through every window of the vehicle is the reason they don't want them totally darkened.

i dunno about other states, but here in PA ALL tint is illegal. except no cop ever enforces it on the rear windows, only the front 2 and the windshield. on my old blazer i put 2 1/2% on the rear side and rear windows. its was hella dark. and i got pulled over and didnt get any sh!t for it

It would leave the rear door windows, and any windows farther back than those such as the rear quarter windows in an SUV dumbass.

My state is crazy, you can have up to 5% on the back glass of a Truck, Van, or SUV. but only 20% on the rear window of a passenger car or coupe. Im glad I have a truck

When i walled off my protege, I had 2 layers of 5% tint on the back and the 2 back s ide panels I painted black. I never got shit about it. But when the one cop pulled me over and looked in the back he about shat himself. He was like you dont turn that up do you?
