friend just gave me an un used Pyramid WX85 8" clear poly woofer 4 ohm

for helping wire up his H/u

anyways, i was thinkin of just foolin around with this little thing, like just put it in the garage or somethin.

what size ported box should i build for it?, and at what freq?

ported for that POS, just make a sealed.

If you really want to id use RE's specs on the RE8.

theres no part on the t/s params. that says what tuning freq should be? cuz im still kinda new to this kinda stuff

tune it low (SQ) or high (SPL) avan though it prob dosent have either

you shouldn't need one. unless your gonna be playing bass cds. ported boxes are good upto 3/4 octave below tuning freq. and if you tune to 33. that will be 24.75Hz. not to many songs go that low.

0.4 ft^3 tuned to 68 Hz

1.3 ft^3 tuned to 42 Hz

1.9 ft^3 tuned to 36 Hz

I like the looks of 1.3 ft^3 tuned to 39 Hz (3" Port, 7.5" long)
