Heres the list of stuff I have/have ordered:
-PG RSD65cs component set
-MTX 2 ch. amp 75x2 @4ohm (already have)
-4 gauge amp install kit
Will be ordering:
-Edead Sound deadening for doors
-IDQ10 or ID10 sub
-JBL CS300.1 mono amp for the sub
Other problems I need to work out: Vehicle is a 98 4Runner
-building baffles for the front speakers, the door has a recessed mounting point for the front speakers that is too small to fit a 6.5" baffle. When you build a bigger baffle around that recessed part of the door the actual door panel doesn't give you nearly enough space between width and height to fit it over your bigger baffle...I don't want to go through the expense/time to have someone make kick panels.
-I have a 960mp Pioneer head unit, this thing does the lil flip down thing which is kinda cool, but now it will not stay turned on when it tries to flip down, it just shuts its self off, closes and repeats the cycle until I interrupt it and make it stay closed. The problem with this is I cannot access any of my menus or options in the closed mode. I cannot think of why it would malfunction like this, all my connections on the harness were soldered by me and shrink wrapped and the deck worked great for over 7 months.
If there is someone in the Colorado Springs area who has dealt with 6.5's in the doors of a 3rd Gen 4Runner let me know if you have suggestions or would like to make a little cash for helping me out. I could also use some suggestions on what could cause my head unit to do that...the guy I bought it from won't respond to my PM's about the warranty he said he had for the head unit.
