Alright so i'm installing my alpine CDA-9883 HU. First, after getting it done, it doesn't get power. Blown fuses. Fixed them. Thought I was good until i try to drive. As soon as my lights come on, the HU says "interrupt", and locks up. Lights off, it plays fine.
So I unhooked the appropriately named interrupt wire, and it works.
This is where the problem is. I'm slightly OCD, and knowing that there is a loose wire behind my head unit makes me want to kill.
Also, my subs aren't doing anything unless i turn the subwoofer level up. Which to me seems silly, like it's just another bass boost or bass setting or something on the HU that isn't needed to make the subs work.
So my questions are: What is causing the "interrupt" message, and how can it be fixed, other than just taking it apart a little bit. Also, is something hooked up incorrectly if my subs won't move without the subwoofer level @ +15? I'm about to break down and let someone else do something for me and probably pay them as well. So help me!!! Thank you.
