Alright i didnt know where to put this so general seems to fit. I did an install in my 02 mercedes c230 coupe a few weeks ago and its been nothing but problems ever since. At first it cut out, so i hooked it up at 4 ohms instead of 1.. that fixed that, next the volume would raise on its own, so i spent 50 dollars at best buy on a supposedly good quality line out converter which was supposed to fix that. I think for the most part it has but now when i turn the car off and back on the volume jumpes drastically up and down. like very low when i turn it on then blasting for a couple seconds... then back down. back and forth. Im guessing its something to do with the bose spend sensing volume control. Anyone have any idea or suggestions? Could it be the amp or sub? or maybe something wrong with the wiring? The single rca is wired from the stock sub which is already amplified by the bose amp. Remote wire is wired from the fuse box. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated. Yeah i know i could get it professionally installed but i know it has to be possible to do on your own, and gives a better sense of pride when blasting it. There are just so many variables i dont know where to start.

oh right i cant beleive i forgot to mention it has the STOCK head unit... which i know is bad, but i really want to the steering wheel controls the cd changer function and i love the sound quality, plus its less money. To change the hu i think you have to replace all the speakers and rewire the whole thing, something to do with the fiber optics system. So i pretty much have to, or would really perfer to keep the stock deck. I have a KICKER S10L72 forthe sub and Kenwood KAC-9152D ClassD Mono 1800 Watt for the amp.

Clean Sweep= LOC //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

yeah im pretty sure that cleansweep is almost the same as what i have now. Anyone heard of anything like this? I wish i knew how to deactivate the speed monitoring volume control. It has to have something to do with it.

I don't see how any signal could produce an output on your LOC but not have any effect on your stock sub.

Is the LOC just wired into the speaker output between the factory amplifier and factory sub? Have you tried disconnecting the factory subwoofer, so that only the LOC is connected?

yeah ive thought of that but for some dumb reason i havent tried it.. for some reason i dont think it would make a diff... maybe i should go try right now.
