Pulled over for nothing?

i got pulled over in NC for doing 84 in a 65. that was after i saw them and slammed it down from ~100. this was 2am and about 15* out. that was $250 for a lawyer/costs/fees so it wasn't too bad.

If you draw attention to yourself you are going to get pulled over plain and simple. When I bought my car people were telling me I was going to be harrassed for having a red car. It has yet to happen though.

Kind of just a rant but this morning on the way to school I was driving and a state cop drove past me, I saw him so I let off the gas. I was not speeding and my windows are not tinted, my system was not turned up.
I saw him pull a u-turn and he eventually passed all of the cars behind me and I turned off. He comes up to my window and asks me to roll it up so I did, then rolled it back down. I asked him if he thought my windows were tinted and he said no and was fumbling his words. He said my exhaust was too loud, my taillights were too dark, and my I had a license plate cover.

My exhaust is NO where close as loud as half of the motorcylces and semi's on the road, my taillights arent even tinted, just 'Cateyes' painted in them, and my license plate cover is clear.

He went back to his car and checked my record(clean), then came back and said I was all good, just to get the stuff fixed. Then he looks in my car and sees my radar detector and is like "Thats technically illegal, obstruction of vision"... But my rearview mirror fell off so my radar is directly in the same spot where the mirror was.

Do you guys think these are the reasons he originally turned around for? Because he was braking before he even got passed me. I think he was just bored...

In many states, a license plate cover of any sort is illegal and will get you pulled over every time a cop notices. Yes, even clear covers.
The only 'cats eyes' that I am familiar with are not painted on, they are actually specially made lenses with the purple cat's eye built-into them. Maybe a pic would give us a better idea if that's why you were pulled over.

I have no idea what your exhaust sounds like, so I cant comment on that.

One time in the winter me and my friends were goin to mc donalds and we all have black ski masks for messing around outside in (buttsecks). Well as we were going through an intersection, a cop waiting @ the light as we passed by, made direct eye contact with us and he immedeatly started following us. We decided we would have fun with it and take really random roads and be suspicious, and as we were doing it, my dumbass friend who was driving rolled a stopsign right in front of the cop! Good times.

It's a law in Michigan I believe that they can only follow you for so long before it turns illegal. Might want to check your local laws for anything similar. Good stuff to know

I speed alot. I have a good eye for cops though. I usually can spot them before they see me or before I pass them.

I was driving home from soak city doing around 87mph flying past traffic. I sorta got a weird feeling, and sure enough, there was a cop a few car lenghts back. I did slam the breaks slowing down to 70. They started merging and coming up on me. Though I was gonna be pulled over.

They ended up accelerating and getting in front of me. There were two of them, I guess they were in a hurry to get somewhere.

i went by one is a school zone, 20mph today doing 40 i was decellerating. he flipped his lights so i went over a hill turned a corner and another and was free.lol. i've blown by people doing 85 in a 55 passing and i see a cop pulled up next to a rock cut and he didn't even pull out. i was in shock i didnt get pulled over and i went by by one on the intersate ,65mph, going about 89 and he was gunnig in the median and he never pulled out. cops around here are either very laid back or complete douches the only time o got pulled over was when i cut off a border patrol officer and i handed him my license and bank card becouse i was so nurvous he laughed and let me go.

fuk da police. I hate when they come up behind you and i constantly look at my rearview to see if they maybe want to pull me over. I used to get nervous but now i'm just like **** the police.

Lol well I usually have a dip in when Im driving and im only 16.. So i dont wanna get pulled over and waste a dip.. I play it safe most of the time but I dont SLAM on my brakes if I see one.

When I was 17, I was in a friends car (also 17 at the time) and we both had a dip in. He got pulled over for some reason and I immediately took the dip out and put it in my spitter and put it under the seat. He asked me why I was doing this as he kept his dip in while the officer came to his window. After giving the officer his license, proving that he is only 17 and has a dip in, the officer proceeds to give him a citation for underage tobacco or some shit. It woulda been cool if it ended there because he deserved it for being such an idiot. Nope. I am then asked for my license and then asked to pull my lip down so he could see if I had any tobacco on my teeth. Yep, I got one too. The cop takes both of our cans and left. I made this moron friend drive to the gas station and buy me a new can.
