Ive heard many people say that there good and others say to stay away? I want a recone but i dont know where to go to.. Help?

I've heard they can be slow at times but always build nice recones. If you're concerned PM splaudio instead.

ive had 2 subs both psi recone fail within a month. stay away. one the former glue leaked into the gap making it so the vc couldnt move second had a rattle coming from something that broke off. both under reccommed rms non-clipped signal in optimal boxes. hit up splaudio. dont make the mistake many of us have made giving psi our hard earned money

Got a tsns sub with a psi recone and i didnt like it. Thing came apart way too easily with not much effort when i ripped it apart to sell the motor. Was supposedly recently reconed and the surround around the whole sub was cracked like it dry rotted or somethin.

i've done a few re-cones with PSI drop in kits, never had a problem. order to door was always a couple days. I've done the re-cones myself. Only times i've seen a PSI recone fail is b/c of the person doing the re-cone. splaudio suppose to do some pretty sweet re-cone kits too. personally I feel you can't go wrong with either one. I've done a re-cone for a local with a splaudio drop in kit, still bumpin today. I have a TC9 w/PSI recone kit, it's 3 years old and still bumpin.

different people have different problems. theres alot of people around ky who have had good success with psi and i know most of them personally. i am also going to be getting a drop in recone shortly as well. i just havnt made my final decision on who im going with yet. so far i was quoted a price for a drop in by PSI for my hdc3 18 so it can handle 4k from my Memphis 4KW and it was pretty cheap i think for what i requested.

I doubt they are going to be able to make you a recone to handle 4k with an hdc3 motor.

well really i had it quoted for 3k i comp on music so i dont see myself actually seeing 4k very ofter

From what I've seen, the best choice for custom recone drop-in's, has been SPLaudio.

my recone kits ship within 48hrs if i have the parts instock needed and i usually do.

reason for the 48hrs is i build them and let sit for 24hrs to fully cure before i will bag then box up.

We've had 2 recones go from stiff to bottoming out with little force within a month.
