PS3 GH Compatibility?

I have a PS2 that is backwards compatible. If I purchased GH World Tour, would that guitar be compatible with the PS2 games like GH Rock The 80's?

Ive searched around and all I find are sites about other PS3 GH's, not for teh PS2.
