Pro's and Con's....daily driving with a wall...

Ive never known anyone or had a wall that was daily driving playing music. I have a GMC jimmy that i plan on walling off with either 4 15" or 6 12"s and was wondering what some of you know about how they sound for daily driving. Thanks guys.

Shiznit is going to do one with his blazer...which is pretty much a jimmy...

I imagine if you do it right it would sound good and loud...

i am thinking of doing two 18" FI Q's in a wall in my grand cherokee...learning to drive with no rearview is easy and i got a backup cam with my HU so i can see behind me when i need to...

if its tuned nice and low should sound great for daily

I change the angle of my rear seats alowing me to get 34" from rear hatch to back of rear seats with still having clearnce for the port and subs.

The great thing about this design is that it's allowing me to keep my rear seats and that its a 16cuft wall.

37" wide x 30" tall x 34" deep. 16cuft tuned to 32hz with around 250sq.in. of port area.

I will make a frame around it and wall it off...



I was gonna build this today, but spent most of the time working on this new home that I just purchased. Hopefully Ill be done sunday and later in the week I will let you know how it turns out by posting a build log with review.

Looks like ill have around 40 cubic feet with 2.25" thick mdf all the way around with the back seats folded down, with no back seats or anything 45+ cu ft look very possible. Not like i need all that space unless i decide to do bass race and run 12 or more 12"s....but thats all in the air right now.

you still wouldnt need 40 cubes for 12 plus 12s necessarily...

bigger isnt better in all cases guys

I wonder what cops think when they see a kid driving around with a huge wall of woofers blocking their view . . . I wonder if theres some law agianst such things. (not just subwoofer walls, but other obstructions of the rear view.)
