i'de like to use it, my whole amp rack/amp setup is around that amp. No room for anything else.

I dont see how that is even possible - i have a Crunch PZN2250 and i was battery charger testing it and i accidently switched to 24V charge and it stayed there for about 10-15 seconds before i realized and the amp started smoking and it still powers up and works cuz i fried one of my old skool subs with it. IF 24 volts couldnt kill my crunch i dont see how 12 volts killed you autotek. I believe the seller is hiding something.

this post doesnt really prove a thing because i said nothing about the amp being damaged from 12 volts, but okay lol.

Although the odds of the amp being shipped with problems are high at the moment, im going to guess the damage was done due to the poor shipping. Seeing that it came with three bent mounting tabs, something inside the amp could have easily been jarred pretty good.

Not for nothing, but you bought this over a year ago, more or less. You'll be extremely lucky to get anything from the seller. Had this happened right after you bought it, I'd give you the benefit of the doubt. either way, good luck getting it fixed up quickly.
