thanks for the comments all

Im doing my statics homework at the moment, but im going to try to get the beauty panel done tonight so it can go on tomorrow. The back side needs whats left of the primer, than i'll be spraying it with hammered black paint.

Very nice job. Did you have to cut anything or did you just take out the lower portion of the rear wall? I haven't seen the rear wall out of a avalanche yet, my uncle has one and hasn't had the need to yet.

i didnt cut any part of the vehicle, if thats what you mean. I did take out the gutters that go along the seams of the tonneau cover though

I got some bad news guys. I ran into some financial troubles and am going to have to call the build off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Just kidding....

There is some bad news though. The battery rack i built to hold my batteries DOESNT FIT with the beauty panel in. The batteries sit too high and the seats wont latch up.

Good news is i built another //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. The rack was originally made of 2x4's, but now its going to be made of MDF, so lets hope it holds up. Its on a fairly flat surface, so i shouldnt have any issues. Because of this, the batteries will also have to overlap the opening in the beauty panel a wee bit due to how the midgate area is slanted (because the batteries are now lower, they cant sit as far out as planned)

onto the pics!

Oh, and all in favor of me taking the stickers off the batteries so they match please speak up. Im not sure what i want to do with that situation.

Excellent fit, minus the overlap of the opening....

Some of you may not dig this last touch, but i couldnt help myself. I liked the idea too much to pass it up. I had to rep a little bit....
