Little background first so I don't get flamed for the products used (including the particle board)

My brother is a wrecking yard owner so 90% of what you see came from cars from his yard.

The three JL audio 12's, the larger Kenwood amp and the JL audio amp, in the passenger side rear quarter panel where the factory 8" and amps would be, came from a 90's model Honda.

The story goes that a lady in her 80's came in and asked my brother if he would be the car from her, he offered her something like $250 and she said perfect. As she was hobbling out on her cain, she said over her shoulder "by the way, there is about 2K worth of stereo equipment too". My brother didn't think anything of it until they pulled the car in to start tearing it down.

As soon as he saw the speakers, he sent pictures to my (at the time) 17 year old niece. And don't even ask for pictures of her. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The group of pictures will explain the rest of the story better then I could. We have maybe $200 in the whole build less any beer that was consumed.

So are you so poor you wanna use the shittiest material availible for building boxes, or are you just ******* dumb?
Guess you failed to read the 1st post or are you just too dumb to understand?
It's what he had at the yard and what he wanted to use but thanks for your concern.

I read it, but you didnt say why you used particle board you just said how you got the equipment. For the record the work you did with it looks great, just ****** materials.

I have seen this exact same box before. I cant quite put my finger on where but I am 95% postitive Ive seen that box, with the jellos in it, a LONG time ago

Between the equipment and materials used is why I've nicknamed it my "Junk Yard Build" and to be honest, I don't think my niece would have been able to tell the difference had we built her box out of MDF.

hahaha point taken, alot of people just dont hear the difference. They just want "bang" w/e the fuck that means hahahhaha

yall wouldnt throw another few bucks at it and get decent wood.
Because you've never been around someone that owns a wrecking yard. Spend some time with them and you will quickly understand that they don't believe in spending more then what is needed to get the job done. Plus I was the one that had to work with the particle board so what did he care. LOL
