I decided to keep the current project with my new rig pretty simple at the moment. I'm sure some of you were expecting something crazy, but I have some other investment plans at the moment Anyways, i already had a pioneer premier f90bt, image dynamics CTX components, and a DSC2150 in the rig, as well as a DSC 1500.1 in my closet. The plan is to add a substage behind the rear seat, as well as fab up some fiberglass A-pillars for the CTX tweeters. I had the urge to play around with some 8's so i picked up a pile of REX8's on ebay for much cheaper than i thought i could find them for. I was actually expecting much less than what they truly are. Rather beefy drivers actually, very comparable to E8's at first glance (i've been doing some testing with E8's in my girlfriends car). Im curious to see how they will perform in comparison. After i get six in my rig, i'll try to do a direct swap with the e8's in my girlfriends escape and see how they do. Im going to start off with six in a ported box, and will eventually compare to 8 in a sealed box. Here is the initial plan. 2cu ft @ 29hz, which modeled up surprisingly well. RE has minimal reccomendations of .3cu ft each. The wood is cut, buuuutt i just pulled my camera out, and the battery was dead, so pics wont be up until tomorrow.
