What does mat do that deadener wont.... I dont understand that one...

No sludge cause It is too thick and I had access to the spectrum quicker. Plus, I didnt want the sludge.

OK I will explain why I did what I did...

I had mat on the doors, it liked to fall off in the texas heat. I didnt want the rattle pad to fall off, so I filled every inch of the doors with spectrum so that the rattle pad would stick to the spectrum instead of just the mat. Now the mat wont fall off anymore and the rattle pad will stay in place.
