The manual only states it's 4-ohm Mono. Is it stable at 2-ohm or is there too much current?
Hello misfit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifI own several Profile amps, but not the particular one you're asking about.
I do know the Baja HA700M does fine at 1 ohm...for what that bit of info is worth.
I say give it a try and keep a cautioned eye on it.
Sup? Good to see you back, man. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifHello misfit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I'd give it a shot, man. Just keep an eye on it and cut it at the first sign of trouble.Yeah, normally I wouldn't even ask and just go by rated-- but I know quite a few amps around (especially some older ones) can go below the resistances stated and do just fine.
I just wanted to see if anyone had first hand knowledge on the subject before I test things.
Oh, and I have to rub it in: picked this amp up used (6/10 cosmetic, though) for $20 bucks.
Thanks, bro. Any guesses on RMS output? My buddy and I tried it on the same amp as yours back in highschool running 2 ohms mono to two 12" Kenwood Tornadoes and it worked just fine. However it gets pretty hot and it kicked in thermal protection a couple of times so just keep an eye on it and don't leave the volume way up for too long.
