Ok I posted before about issues with my 840MP. the face would sometimes randomly shut off but the deck would keep playing and I would have to pull the face off to get it to work right. Well now it wont even turn on. I was using my 9300 for a bit but I was also looking for a new HU too. On eBay I see this guy selling a service. The service was that anyone who owns an 840 8400, 850 8500, or 960 9600 who has issues with the deck not turning on of the face shutting off he can fix it for $60 bucks. I looked around some more and found out that the cables between the face and the hu are defective. I contacted the guy on eBay and tried to get him to tell me what he does to fix them but he wouldnt tell me. I said will I know its got something to do with the ribbon cable and he replyed well thats just one of the 9 things we fix and upgrade. Does anyone know what all needs to be done to fix this deck or where I can get parts? I know Pioneer is OUT! of these ribbon cables. Thanks.
