problems with new 12" drop down monitor

i bought a tview 12" drop down monitor from a member here that was BNIB. it does not have a built in dvd player. so I couldnt install untill my new headunit got here. I installed the Jensen VM8013HD. i got a great clear picture on the HU, but my monitor thats a different story. i first thought maybe it was the cheap *** RCA's that i was using, so i went over to the local car audio shop and got a nice expensive set of video RCA's. installed those and absolutely no difference.

the picture is all whitish-grey with just a few stripes across the screen. is there something i am missing here? what am i doing wrong? please any help would be greatly appreciated!

I dont know. My only suggestion is try using a different video source (your house dvd player, xbox, etc) and see if the monitor display is still messed up. This should isolate the problem to one component or the other.

tried that... nothing. guess the monitor is bad...

sounds like the video out mode is set wrong on the HU. i think it needs to be set to NTSC but im not sure.

it has to be set to ntsc? one other thing.... the monitor its self, i cant see the settings, when the button is pushed..??
