problems in 99 durango

Its got the infinity system in it so it has the stock amp. I have 1200rms runnin to my xxx and it seems like the door speakers get quieter when the bass hits. Is it just because the stock amp isnt getting enough power? Or is it just me? lol I dont want to drop money on an amp to run to my stock mids if it wont fix the problem. big 3 time?

the voltmeter in my instrument cluster stays at normal almost all the time.

Voltmeters on the dash aren't real time, at least not in my truck. You might actually be hearing distortion in your speakers from them trying to play the bass.

So you're running all stock mids and highs? That's the problem.
