sorry about posting one of the "vs" threads. You guys probably get tired of them. I used the search but i couldn't find anything. If you find a thread just post it here so i could read it.

Anyway...which one would win in terms of mid/kickbass. Clarity? i'd want something that i could listen to for a while, nothing harsh or metalic, but i want it to be clear.

Thanks.

Than a metal dome which the Pro60's use is probably not for you because it is an agressive and metaillic sounding tweet (on axis at least). Where and how will you be installing them is the determinant factor IMO.

Yeah the Bostons will have a higher pith to them w/ the metal tweets comparing to the rainbows....but it's all in taste....my pros are just simply awsome! I love everything about them and they arn't harsh at all...

Both have clarity, the SLC tweeter is a bit smoother. The Kickbass drivers are not your typical midbass however. The drivers excel in any door you put them in.

You will get more midbass output and quality with less power going with the SLC Kick route, and a better price I'd imagine- making it a better value.

A better comparing set on the Rainbow lineup that stacks up to the Boston Pro60, is the Rainbow CMX265- has the old Rainbow Pro Vanadium tweeter that came in a $700+ set, has great off axis, and an aluminum cone mid. All this in a set that you can get in the low $300 range to start with.

well i mean i don't really want to find the one that matches it the most, i want to find the best for the buck.

I found the Pro60's on ebay for just under 300. BTW, 300 is absolute maximum for me. Not a penny over.

Ok, well the CMX's do retail in the $500 range too FYI, so best bang for the buck is up to you.

AHHH! i always hate it where your like: well for 40 dollars more you could get this...but hey for only 20 more on top of that you could get these...and 40 dollars more is this.

wallet: (|||||) to ()

aaahhh! were has all my money gone.

well, the amount of midbass the SLC's produce is amazing for their price. everyone that listened to my setup are amazed by its output. hell, half the time i have my sub off and running just front stage. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
