Price Or Quality?

Need some advice for a pair of good 6.5 component speakers. Looking to give them between 110w and 225 watts bridged from a RF851x. Currently have a set of CDT's in the front bridged( CL-61). Looking to move them into the back and get a little better set for the front. I'd love to be able to get a set of $800 boston acoustics, but lack the money. I was wondering if the entry level models of brands like Boston acoustic, Infinity kappa, polk, etc. are worth the name? I've found a few links to some i've been considering. I was also wondering if anyone could put in their take on the diffrence in sound with silk vs. titanium, 3/4 inch vs. 1 inch tweeters. Looking to spend about $250. Any comments on my considerations or additional suggestions would be great. Thanks.

i think silk tweets give softer tones....an titanium tweets give harsh tone...or something like that

silk tweets give more of a warm sound and titanium tweets can get a little harsh on the ears.

Quite a few posts have stated that Infinitys and MB Quart can be on the harsh side.

The CDT titaniums weren't too bad, they have more types to offer now that you can really tailor the sound according to what your looking for.

Do as much research as you can before settling, then you can be really happy with your choice!
