Sold PRICE DROP - Blown - Better Audio 1600m1 - $75

It's blown. Powers on, protect light is on, but the green LED pulses every ~20 seconds. It doesn't make a "click" noise you usually hear when it turns on. Missing the power set screw for the terminal (can be had for a few cents at a hardware store). None of the internals are burned or anything either.

$75 + shipping. It does 1600 @ 1 ohm. Some say they have ran this at .5 daily. I've personally ran it at .75 for about a month with no problems. I loved this amp!

http://www.ciaengineering.com/index.htm is a place recommended to me by snoopdan for repair. I have a Treo amp over there right now, they told me it is usually around $85-95 for the repair which includes shipping.

In otherwords, how did it blow?

I took this out of my car and it was working perfectly. Then I let it sit for a few days until I sold it to nvruckus. When he got it, he said the protect light just kept coming on. So as to how it blew, beats the crap outta me, all I know is that it's blown.

how long does it take for them to fix an amp and have it ship back to you?

Don't know honestly, it depends on where you go and how busy they are. CIA was VERY busy because of finals and I didn't get my amp back in time. But usually they said turn around time was 5-7 business days.

If i end up getting this amp it would take me 1 day to fix.There are others on the forum who can say it is true.I have about every parts and doubles and fix them about 24/7.I put up a wtb broken amps thread but, forgot you had it.I would like your amp i just have so many amps right now and i need to sell and fix some before i can.You have a nice amp!

Cool, then buy it!!! I've been trying to sell this for around a month and nobody wants it. I figure that it should have sold already because even when it was at $100, it was a killer price. At $75 I'm ripping myself off.
